With an entire line of face, body, sun and makeup products, Clarins has offered women quality benefits of skincare for over 50 years. Their signature massages and colorful, iconic runway-inspired makeup collection effortlessly makes a woman's skin feel and look flawless and beautiful. It all started with a young medical student named Jacques Courtin-Clarins. After discovering that his massage treatments were not only improving his patients’ well-being but it was only improving their skin, Jacques began his research. In 1954, Jacques opened his first Clarins Institue de Beaute in Paris. There he developed products and treatments for the face and body that used all matural ingredients. Since then the brand has moved into the luxury face and body services rather than the massage origin. However the massage techniques still holds weight in the company’s success. In 1981, Clarins opened their first U.S. office under the direction of Jacques son Christian Courtin. 9 years later another Clarins clan member, Olivier Clarins joined the company to develop new products and open more Beauty Institutes worldwide. Shortly after, the first anti-pollution makeup line was produced. This started the launch of several other ventures for Clarins including ClarinsMen in 2002 and their first two fragrances in 2005; which all remained 100% botanical and organic.
